Terrence Donnelly Health Sciences Complex, University of Toronto Mississauga, Kongats Architects, 2011
The TDHSC houses University of Toronto's Mississauga Academy of Medicine, the department of Biomedical Communications, and the department of Anthropology and Forensics. The building's exterior has 2 skins, including an outer skin of steel angled fins that are designed to reflect heat away from the building. The program included classrooms, seminar rooms, computer labs, laboratories, a student lounge and an outdoor terrace. The building was designed to LEED Gold standards and won a 2012 Governor General's Medal in Architecture.
