The Voltage collection was inspired by a desire to understand and recreate lightening. For her fourth collection as a guest member of the Chambre Syndicate de la Haute Couture, Iris van Herpen explores electricity which innervates the human body and shoots through the universe. Finely detailed flexible meshwork structures and translucent frond components form the outer layers of the three haute couture dresses; the textiles are formed with laser-cut acrylic, mylar and silicon.
